As 2023 comes to a close, we’re looking forward to what the next year will have in store; as the past 12 months have seen several milestone moments and numerous unforgettable releases, we’re sure that 2024 will be just as exciting as the previous year within Electronic Music.
One of the Artists who has no doubt contributed to keeping the standard high within the genre is the talented Cyazon; having dropped many hard-hitting tracks and collaborating with various gifted artists, Cyazon has no doubt had a thrilling year. So, as we eagerly anticipate the next chapter in his already captivating musical journey, we’re excited to have him here with us today, sharing a sneak peek into his plans for 2024.
What’s one personal goal you have set for yourself in the upcoming year, and what steps have you taken to achieve it?
One personal goal for me next year is to have a booking agency so I can play shows. Some of the steps I have taken to achieve this are consistently releasing music, posting on social media and following up with my team about where they are at with pitching to booking agencies.
Can you share an achievement or accomplishment from the past year that you’re most proud of and why?
I’m really proud of how well my song ‘Before You Leave’ did in terms of Spotify streams and the feedback I received from it from fans and listeners. I’m also grateful that Au5 has been playing the song live, and people have enjoyed listening to it at shows, from what I have seen in social media videos.
What’s a new skill or hobby you’re planning to explore in the new year, and what motivated you to pursue it?
One new skill I’m planning to explore next year is improving my marketing and social media skills; wanting to improve my engagement on social media and create more interesting content motivates me to pursue this.
What’s the most exciting project or initiative you have on your radar for the upcoming year, and what impact do you hope it will have?
One initiative I have for the upcoming year is releasing the unreleased music I have that goes in a different direction in terms of how my music sounds. I’m looking forward to showing everyone this new direction.
Reflecting on the past year, what’s one lesson you’ve learned that you intend to carry with you into the new year?
One lesson I have learned is that there is movement and progress happening in the background, even if I do not see it directly in terms of my goals and desires.
How do you plan to strike a better work-life balance in the upcoming year to improve your overall well-being?
I’m going to take more time to be outside, travel, and socialize more in the upcoming year as well as make sure I’m working on new music as I feel inspired to. I think not putting pressure on or forcing myself to create music has helped my well-being and also create my best music.
Can you share your top three New Year’s resolutions? Please explain why they are important to you
My top three New Year’s resolutions are to start playing shows consistently and get a booking agency, release my music on labels consistently instead of self-releases, and create more music videos and story-telling visual content. These are important for me because they will help progress my music career.
Can you name a book, movie, or experience from the past year that had a significant impact on you, and why?
One experience from this past year that has had a significant impact on me is that I met someone online and have become good friends with her for now. She has helped me grow as a person and has helped me stay optimistic about my dreams. I’m looking forward to progressing things into a relationship in the future.
In what ways do you hope to grow and develop personally and professionally in the next 12 months?
Personally, I would like to grow and develop with my spiritual life. Professionally, I would like to be playing more consistent shows/playing live more in the next 12 months.
If you could choose one word or phrase to represent your theme for the new year, what would it be, and why does it resonate with you?
One phrase I would choose to represent my theme for the new year is, “Everything is working out in my favour with my desires”. This resonates with me because I do believe I will achieve my outcome with all of my desires.
